Events are a powerful tool for businesses to achieve a variety of goals. They can be used to bring together employees and create a sense of community within a company. This can be particularly important for remote teams or those spread across multiple locations. Events can also be used to raise money for a cause, such as a charity or non-profit organization. This can help a business to give back to the community and create a positive image for their brand.
In addition, events can be used to launch new products or services. This can be an effective way to generate buzz and excitement around a new offering. Events can also be used to showcase a company's expertise or thought leadership in a particular industry. By hosting a conference or seminar, a business can position themselves as experts in their field and attract potential customers.
Finally, events can be used to drive consumer engagement and brand awareness. By hosting a public event, such as a festival or concert, a business can create a memorable experience for attendees and generate positive word-of-mouth. This can be a powerful way to increase brand recognition and drive sales.
Overall, events are a versatile tool for businesses to achieve a variety of goals. Whether it's connecting with colleagues, raising funds for a cause, launching a new product, or driving consumer engagement, events can be an effective way to drive growth.
The COVID-19 pandemic created a new normal for social events, especially weddings. After almost two years, we are finally adapting to the guidelines set out by the CDC. Following are some tips you and your guests can apply to minimize risk and celebrate in the most normal way possible. Whether you are in the first stages of planning or close to your date, we are certain our advice will help.
Planning the Big Day is never easy. The location, the menu, the music … so much to think about and now we need to think about safety. There are some important questions you need to ask yourself before moving forward. COVID19 has made it clear on the importance of social distancing. The size of the venue matters. Whether it is indoors or outdoors, virtual or hybrid there is one key thing to keep in mind. You need well-ventilated space so guests can move freely. The smaller the guest list, the easier the planning. For weddings there are rules. Yes, rules. Discuss your specific safety concerns with your partner and wedding party. Set clear rules if you want everyone to remain within their social bubble. Should guests wear masks? How should the bridal party make their entrance? What is the protocol for family members participating in the ceremony? Will you request proof of vaccination or a negative test upon arrival? All these rules should be communicated to your guests in advance. Either as part of their invitation or via email. Set clear expectations prior to arrival. A professional can request proof of vaccination during the RSVP process and onsite set up a security checkpoint upon arrival at the ceremony and reception. They can take guest and vendor temperatures, ask a few questions, check vaccination status or proof of a negative test. Here you can also provide a personalized hand sanitizer and masks, if you wish, and create a contact tracing list. A cocktail hour might be a hassle if you try to keep everyone properly distanced and having fun while they share a drink. The best option is to host it outdoors, with a couple of waiters to avoid crowding at the bar, and the same goes for appetizers; you should avoid buffet-style grazing tables and go for individually packed ones or staff serving each guest. Your best option is to serve a plated meal and think about seating charts that include one family or household per table for dinner time. This might seem a bit hard to achieve, but you can have an animated display if you mix and match four, six, and eight guests per table, perhaps some round tables, long ones, and even bistro style. Once the party is over, you should email guests and vendors asking them to keep you posted on any COVID symptoms. And if so, you can easily contact every one and prevent the cases from rising. Therefore, keeping an accurate contact tracing list is important. As you plan your event, remember, it can be safe, easy and fun as long as you communicate and have clear expectations. And, if you need any help, don’t hesitate to contact our experienced team. With over 30 years of experience in the event planning business, you can enjoy your wedding day without worrying about a thing.
